Behind the Silhouettes with the Strathberry Design Team

Our newest collection sees us launching three timeless new silhouettes for the season; The Circus, The Melody, and The Crescent Moon. We caught up with the Strathberry design team to find out a bit more about our new Strathberry bag silhouettes…

CIRCUS

The original inspiration for the Circus bag originates from the circular cupola shape on the roof of our Edinburgh Townhouse. The Circus bag is a contemporary design formed with sculpted leather. The iconic Crescent Bar is reinvented into a top handle, reflecting cylindrical forms in architecture.

At Strathberry, one of our biggest design inspirations is the precision of architecture. We use architecture to shape our designs looking at the curvature and shapes around us, and it was this that really inspired us for the Circus’ circular Music Bar shape.

MELODY

The Melody Tote is an exaggerated and softer interpretation of the vintage music folio that inspired our iconic Strathberry Tote. Featuring our signature Music Bar as a closure across broad and comfortable straps, the supple leather combines timeless luxury with everyday practicality.

The spacious interior is thoughtfully designed with a removable pouch to keep valuables organised and secure. This silhouette comes in earthy, autumnal tones that grace this capsule to effortlessly compliment any outfit season after season

The design process of this bag was all about looking at textures of different leathers. We have chosen fine-grain leather which is perfect to create the slouchy elegant look. We wanted this shape to be comfortable to wear during long days commuting, whilst also having the structured lines everyone knows and loves about Strathberry shapes.

CRESCENT MOON

The new Crescent Moon bag shape is the epitome of celestial elegance. The enchanting Crescent Moon is your new go-to style for evening styling, with its modern take on the iconic Music Bar making it perfect for dressing up as we head into the festive season. . Unveiling an organic silhouette and iconic Crescent Bar top handle, this fashion-forward silhouette seamlessly blends sophistication and timelessness.

The Crescent Moon silhouette has been a labor of love to design and is so worth the wait. The elegant crescent shape makes it a perfect evening piece. I am excited to see how it is styled by the Strathberry community.
